Clarks Desert Boots were my fav back in my high school days, and these look exactly as I remember, they do look great with jeans and casual wear. The soles are stiff though-they seem much thicker than I remember and have little give to them. I am slowly breaking them in, started out with an hour a day and two weeks later I'm about at 2 hours. They are not painful to wear longer but they are not comfortable either. If I knew the amount of work it would be I would not buy them and I don't think they will ever be a "all day shoe"

I ordered these for my daughter's school shoe. She loves them. I'd like to see if she can wear these out. Very sturdy and heavy duty. Not very feminine (my opinion) but she wanted them and she loves them. Good enough for me.

I had been looking in a lot of stores for a pair of desert boots similar to ones I had had for years (and had eventually worn out) but with no luck. I have purchased Clark products before and was always happy with them so I hoped the boots would be good as well. They are. They are very sturdy, comfortable and have gum soles (not great for the snow but that's not why I bought them) and are good for all-year wear. I recommend them to anyone looking for a good pair of desert boots.

I had these same shoes when I was in high school - in the late 70's. I loved them then and still love them now! The money I paid for them was well worth it. I keep trying to remember how much I might have paid for them years ago, but I'm sure it was nominal!!! They are comfortable, look great with jeans and feel good on.
