Product Description
Spread a little sunshine in the Funky Sun Mary Jane from the Clarks Artisan Collection. Leather upper in a casual Mary Jane flat style with a round toe. Elasticized fabric trim laces through the heel and scoop vamp collar. A thin leather strap secures at the side of the instep with a Velcro (R) closure. Faux leather lining and removable cushioning insole with perforated arch support, flexible midsole. Rubber traction outsole. 1/2 inch heel.

cute and comfy but didn't last May 24, 2010

I wasn't sure what to think of these funky sun shoes at first. I read all of the reviews but then decided to give it a try anyway because they were on sale. I totally loved them from day one! I applied a pair of gel heel protectors on the back of the shoes since everyone complained that their heel/back of the foot was rubbed raw. So, no problems there. They were great and really cute. I only really wore them almost every day for the last 3 months even though I've had them for about 8 months because it was cold over the winter here in SF, and you really can't wear these with socks. I was hugely upset and disappointed the other day when I found that my right shoe had a tear along the seam between the sole and the upper of the shoe! What!?!? Already? I knew that the shoes are thin, but that was why they were so light and comfy! They are Clarks and are supposed to last a long time! So, huge disappointment there. Part of me wants to get another pair, but part of me wonders if it would be a waste of money. Maybe it was a fluke with that one shoe -- the left one seems fine at the moment, but that doesn't really help me. I wonder if it can be fixed. It doesn't look good though. *sigh* They are out of my size anyway so I guess I will have to find new shoes for summer. I'm bummed. So, while these shoes are super comfy and allowed me to walk a long distance with no socks and even without my prescription orthotics, they didn't last. Big bummer.

Unfortunately the shoes are uncomfortable, despite all their cuteness.
I am a walker and needed something decent (not tennis shoes) to walk to town with my boys; I found both my heels bleeding after a few hours wearing them at home. Of course I expected to have to break the shoes first before long walks but this was a major disappointment. I tried using heel protectors and gave them new tries, eventually deciding to return the shoes. They are totally cute, however, and may well fit someone else rather nicely.

Just as comfortable as their Privo brand. Another qualilty product from Clark. Fit true to size and can be worn without socks.

I just got these shoes in brown and I love how cute they are. There are two issues I see with these shoes. A lot of others have noticed the same problem with the back of the shoe rubs your heel RAW. And the second thing I noticed is the sole of the shoe the middle is made out of leather and gets scratched and dirty and torn. So don't waste your money because I can tell you if all the shoes have the heel issue then you won't wear them.
